Microsoft Office Mobile has been available on the iPhone for quite some time now, but no tablet support has been granted, until now. Not only is the slate-focused productivity suite alive and well, it’s apparently going to launch before July.
Office for iPad has been codenamed Miramar, and it has been reported that it might even launch ahead of the Windows 8 version tipped or Windows tablets, which is quite surprising. The word from Microsoft is that it will be released as they are finished on different platforms.
The iOS package will require an Office 365 subscription to be free on the iPad and it will tap into OneDrive (previously known as SkyDrive) for its storage capabilities.
Do you think this will make iPads much more productive? Would you like to use it on your Apple tablet? Let us know in the comments below.
