Last week, Android received the revamped Google Maps design and now it is iOS‘ turn. The Android rollout has gradually taken place for all devices running Android 4.0.3 and higher, with the iOS rollout starting this week to both iPhone and iPad.
Support for the iPad is of course a brand new highlight of the explore and discovery app, and there are also other features completely new to iOS. Google Maps now also offers iOS customers indoor navigation, live traffic updates and incidents reports (only available in certain markets at this point).
You have to be on iOS 6 to use the update, so there is unfortunately no Google Maps for original iPad users. Download the new Maps and let us know what you think about the update.
