With the news of Disney buying the Star Wars franchise for just over $4 billion, Twitter is buzzing with suggestions of Disney and Star Wars move title mash-ups as well catch phrases and song titles that users are posting under the hashtag #DisneyStarWars.
George Lucas explains one of the reasons why he sold the franchise: “I realised at some point I needed to retire. And I wanted to go on and do other things – things in philanthropy and doing more experimental kind of films. But I couldn’t really drag my company into that,” he said.
The seventh Star Was movie, with a working title of Episode 7, is set for release in 2015.
