Christo Davel‘s new online personal finance management system has undergone some changes in the last few weeks, and many of these changes are significant enough to make the system a lot more useful.
Users can still sign up for a 30 day trial to see if the service is for them or not, and once the 30 days is over, they can still go see their existing analysis, and only updating will be disabled. So if you have a 22seven account that has not been used in a while, you can still go try out the new features.
“This was not a major update to 22seven, but rather an expression of the ongoing work we are doing to improve the service and deliver on our promise of helping people do more with their money. The additions we released this week allow people to split a transaction into multiple categories and a powerful new way of categorising, including new improvements to our machine-learning system that automatically categorises transactions. Soon you will be able to add some of your own categories to the system as well.” – Simon Dingle
So what is new?
Categorize your transactions differently – You can split transactions as well, so you do not have to use one transaction for only one category.

Export your info: 22Seven now gives you the option to export all that data they have been working with, so you can take it wherever you want. You can download it as a CSV file, take it out of 22seven and into the big, wide world.

We are going to try the new 22Seven features – it would be interesting to see which of these financial management tools come out on top. While MoneySmart is free, 22Seven sports a beautiful interface which is really easy to use.
