Acer announces Predator Atlas 7 handheld gaming PC

Acer has officially unveiled the Predator Atlas 7 gaming handheld at IFA in Berlin, packing the flagship performance of its larger Atlas 8 model into a more compact form factor. Designed for improved ergonomics during extended play, the Atlas 7 features contoured grips, an enlarged palm rest area, recessed keys, and an anti-slip textured back panel to make the smaller device noticeably easier to handle.

Internally, the handheld is powered by up to an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor paired with Intel Arc B390 graphics. Visuals are driven by a 7-inch 16:9 Full HD touchscreen featuring a 120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits of peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Configurations support up to 24GB of memory and 1TB of solid-state storage, managed by a dual-fan cooling system. Acer is offering two power configurations: an 80Wh battery version that weighs under 750 grams, and a lighter 60Wh variant weighing under 700 grams.

Hardware connectivity includes dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, a microSD card reader, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. Each purchase includes a two-month trial of both Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. While Acer has yet to reveal official pricing, the Predator Atlas 7 is scheduled to launch in EMEA regions in November, followed by a North American release in the fourth quarter of 2026. The launch accompanies Acer’s separate presentation of the Project DualPlay Mini, an 8-inch hybrid concept intended to function as both a handheld gaming unit and a compact mobile workstation.
