At CES 2025, Sony Honda Mobility announced pricing and preorder details for the Afeela 1, offering two trims: the $89,900 Origin and the $102,900 Signature. Both trims include a three-year subscription to features such as Level 2+ driver-assist and an AI-powered personal assistant.

Preorders are currently limited to California residents, with a refundable $200 deposit required. The Afeela 1 Signature is slated for delivery in 2026, followed by the Origin in 2027.

Key specifications include an estimated range of up to 300 miles and built-in support for the Tesla Supercharger network. The vehicle boasts a sleek design, featuring a panoramic dashboard display, 40 sensors and cameras for advanced driver assistance, all-wheel drive, and potential for augmented reality integration.

During the press conference, CEO Yasuhide Mizuno showcased a voice command feature, summoning the vehicle onstage by saying “Come on out, Afeela.”

The Afeela’s launch comes amidst a dynamic EV landscape. While demand for EVs has stabilized in the US, the industry faces new challenges, including potential changes to government incentives and increasing competition from Chinese manufacturers.

Sony Honda Mobility will host another press conference tomorrow to provide further details on the Afeela customer experience.
