The Predator Helios 18 AI introduces a dual-mode Mini LED display, offering a flexible 4K 120Hz or 1080p 240Hz refresh rate. This versatile display boasts up to 1,000 nits of brightness and supports Nvidia G-Sync for a smooth and tear-free gaming experience.
Under the hood, the Helios 18 AI packs a punch with up to an Intel 15th Gen Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 mobile GPU, 192GB of DDR5 RAM, and 6TB of PCIe Gen 5 SSD storage. The “AI” designation reflects the laptop’s support for over 150 AI-optimized applications, enabling users to leverage AI for tasks such as large language models (LLMs) and image generation.
The Predator Helios 16 AI also receives a significant upgrade, featuring a 2560 x 1600 OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate. It shares similar internal specifications with its larger sibling, offering up to an Intel 15th Gen Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, an RTX 5090 mobile GPU, 64GB of RAM, and 4TB of PCIe Gen 5 SSD storage.
Both models feature swappable mechanical keys and Acer’s sixth-generation AeroBlade metal fans for efficient cooling. While they support Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3, the limited port selection, with only two Thunderbolt 5 jacks, may be a concern for users with extensive peripheral setups.
The Predator Helios 18 AI will be available in the US in May 2025, starting at $2,999.99. The Predator Helios 16 AI will follow in June, with a starting price of $2,299.99.
