Nintendo has introduced a new motion-controlled alarm clock called Alarmo. This innovative device responds to your movements, allowing you to snooze or stop the alarm with gestures or by getting out of bed. Priced at $99.99, Alarmo will be available in early 2025. Switch Online subscribers can purchase it early.

Previously leaked as a mystery gadget with the Federal Communications Commission, Alarmo features a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi radio and a 24GHz mmWave sensor for movement detection.
Beyond motion features, Alarmo offers immersive soundscapes from five Switch games: Breath of the Wild, Pikmin 4, Splatoon 3, Super Mario Odyssey, and Ring Fit Adventure. Additional audio scenes can be unlocked by connecting to your Nintendo account, including options from Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Mario Kart 8.
Alarmo also incorporates sleep tracking features. Users can monitor their movements during sleep, set hourly chimes, and choose between Steady or Gentle Mode for their morning alarm. Steady Mode gradually intensifies the alarm, while Gentle Mode maintains a consistent intensity. For a traditional alarm clock experience, Button Mode allows users to snooze the alarm manually. Additionally, sleepy sounds can be used to wind down with soothing music.
Nintendo has been focusing on other areas while the next console remains under wraps. The recent release of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom may be the Switch’s final major title. Additionally, Nintendo opened the Nintendo Museum in Kyoto in October.
