Calling all Zelda fans! Nintendo just dropped a bombshell during their Tuesday Direct stream, unveiling a brand new Legend of Zelda title: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

This isn’t just another adventure for Link. In a series first, you’ll take control of Princess Zelda herself! Witness the events unfold from a fresh perspective as you guide Zelda on a quest to rescue Hyrule – and yes, even her missing hero Link.
Echoes of Wisdom throws classic Zelda elements into a captivating new experience. The game retains the beloved top-down view and boasts an art style reminiscent of the Link’s Awakening remake. But the real innovation lies in the gameplay.
Series producer Eiji Aonuma promises a revolutionary style for Zelda. Forget the Master Sword; Zelda’s weapon of choice is the Trirod. This magical tool allows her to create echoes of various items, unlocking creative puzzle-solving opportunities reminiscent of Breath of the Wild’s open-world approach.
Combat takes a fresh twist too. Hurl echoed objects at enemies or, even more strategically, summon monster echoes to fight alongside you. The possibilities seem endless!
Don’t mark your calendars too far ahead – The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom arrives on Nintendo Switch on September 26th! To celebrate this momentous occasion, a special Hyrule-themed Nintendo Switch Lite will also launch on the same day.
