This four-seater compact SUV will feature a 31.7kWh ternary lithium battery, providing a range of 330km and a top speed of 100km/h, making it an excellent choice for urban commuting.

The vehicle will offer a modern interior with a touchscreen infotainment system, multifunction steering wheel, and a digital instrument panel. Convenience features will include central locking, electric windows, and air conditioning that can be operated remotely via an app, allowing drivers to start the vehicle before entering.

The Dayun S5 Mini SUV will be backed by a three-year or 60,000km service plan and warranty. With a price tag below R400,000, it is poised to be the most affordable EV in South Africa upon its release. Currently, the country’s least expensive EV is the GWM Ora, priced at R687,000.

Enviro Automotive also provides a range of last-mile delivery vehicles. Sales representative Francois Malan of Enviro Automotive told TechCentral that the company is in discussions with several firms interested in purchasing these vehicles.
