New Garmin heart rate monitor works with sports bras

Garmin has shared several updates and new products at CES 2024. Among the highlights is the HRM-Fit, a $150 heart rate monitor designed for women. This innovative device promises accurate heart rate readings even when attached to sports bras, specifically those with medium and high support, including models from Adidas and Under Armour. The HRM-Fit is compatible with Garmin smartwatches, providing essential data such as pace, distance, and stride length. Moreover, it can store workout information, including calories burned and intensity, and later sync this data with your watch.

As part of its new releases, Garmin introduces the Lily 2 smartwatches, featuring a 35mm metal case. Priced at $250 for the Lily 2 and $280 for the Lily 2 Classic, these watches offer heart rate monitoring, sleep quality ratings, connected GPS, move alerts, suggested activities, fitness tracking, and a sports app. Notably, the Lily 2 Classic supports Garmin Pay for convenient contactless payments.

In addition to these hardware updates, Garmin has implemented significant changes to both the web and mobile versions of its Garmin Connect app. The homepage now boasts customizable sections such as Today’s Activity, Training Plans, and In Focus. While currently available to beta testers, these updates are expected to roll out widely later this year.
