As the year-end approaches, leaks surrounding Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S series are surfacing, providing insights into the anticipated Galaxy S24 and S24 Ultra. Recently, official Samsung images were obtained by Windows Report, showcasing the Galaxy S24 Ultra with a redesigned flat screen. This aligns with a previous leak by Twitter user David Martin, offering a closer look at the sharper screen edges, departing from the gentle curve, and unveiling a new grey colour finish.

Building on earlier reports, Samsung is rumoured to introduce on-device generative AI software powered by its Gauss model. According to the latest leaks, the S24 devices will leverage this technology to provide real-time translations across messaging apps in over a dozen languages. In October, Samsung demonstrated an AI-driven “Zoom Anyplace” camera framing feature, expected to debut on a future device.
Moreover, Android Authority uncovered significant details published by the FCC regarding processor and modem specifications for the S24 line. While the chip wasn’t explicitly mentioned, indications point to Qualcomm modems with Smart Transit functionality, suggesting the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chips, equipped with on-device AI capabilities. However, international versions may opt for Samsung’s Exynos processors, as seen in previous models.
The S24 Ultra, in addition to the flattened screen and advanced processor, is set to feature a titanium frame, an enhanced 50MP 5x telephoto camera, improved vapor chamber cooling, and Wi-Fi 7. Despite these upgrades, leaked specifications indicate similarities to the S23 Ultra, maintaining a 6.8-inch Quad-HD screen, 120Hz refresh rate, 12GB of RAM, and a 5,000mAh battery.
Meanwhile, the standard Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus models, resembling their S23 counterparts, showcase new colour finishes such as onyx black, marble grey, cobalt violet, and amber yellow. The S24 Plus is expected to have a larger 6.7-inch Quad-HD screen, a 4,900mAh battery, and 12GB of RAM, while the regular S24 will see modest increases in screen size (6.2 inches) and battery capacity (4,000mAh).
Official confirmation from Samsung is pending, but if historical patterns persist, the unveiling of these phones is expected at an early Samsung Unpacked event in the coming year.
