The ThinkVision 27 3D boasts a versatile range of capabilities. In 2D mode, it supports a crisp 4K resolution, while switching to 3D mode provides an impressive 2,160 x 1,920 pixels. To create the 3D effect, the monitor projects two images perceived by the eyes at slightly different angles, immersing viewers in a captivating visual experience.
The monitor features an IPS display, delivering a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and offering a 40-degree field of view within a distance range of 60 to 100cm. Both 2D and 3D modes achieve a typical brightness level of approximately 310 nits. Lenovo takes pride in the monitor’s colour accuracy, with 99% DCI-P3, 99% Adobe RGB, and 100% sRGB coverage. Furthermore, it is meticulously calibrated to achieve an average Delta E of less than two in the DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB colour spectra.
In terms of performance, the monitor offers a 60Hz refresh rate, resulting in 30Hz per eye when viewing in 3D mode. On the connectivity front, it is well-equipped with two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, one USB Type-C, and an RJ45 ethernet port. The USB Hub is capable of accommodating up to 1x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C upstream and 5x USB 3.2 Gen1 downstream, featuring a power delivery capacity of up to 100 watts.
Lenovo recommends a system configuration of at least an Intel Core i5-7500, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050, 16GB of RAM, and Windows 10 64-bit to fully leverage the capabilities of this 3D monitor.
The Lenovo ThinkVision 27 3D is scheduled to hit the market in February 2024, with a price tag of $2,999. This groundbreaking display promises to deliver an immersive 3D viewing experience for content creators and enthusiasts alike.
