The new range of Galaxy S23 devices will be revealed to the world on February 1st. But before then, we getting most of what to expect from various leaks and rumours. The Galaxy S23 Ultra, the flagship Samsung, has leaked early revealing various design details. The leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra show the camera module, colours and design of the company’s upcoming flagships.

As was expected, there are very slight differences in design for this year’s Samsung flagship devices. The S23 Ultra and S23 Plus will both have a metal frame and glass cover design, with Samsung opting not to go for the matte finish this year. Both models will have the same four colour options – Phantom Black, Cotton Flower (cream), Botanic Green and Misty Lilac (pink or lavender). This same range of colours was previously leaked for the Galaxy S23 as well, meaning all devices in the line-up will have the same options once it goes to market.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra appears to have a flatter back than its predecessor as well as a familiar five camera sensor setup. However, while the design looks similar, it seems there will be some important upgrades to the camera systems. The S23 Ultra will have a 200MP main camera this year – a first for any Samsung Galaxy device. The normal S23 and S23 Plus will both have a similar 50MP main sensor to the S22 range.
For the first time in many years, all devices in the range will run on the same chipsets. The Galaxy S23, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra will all run the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the latest flagship mobile chip from Qualcomm. This marks a change from Samsung’s long-held strategy to use both the latest Snapdragon chip and its own Exynos chip, depending on the territory. For example, we always got the Exynos version in South Africa, which has been inferior to its Snapdragon counterpart every step of the way.
