Google is working on a new feature that will provide drivers with estimated toll costs on a specific route when using the Maps app. According to reports, the feature might show the total costs for a journey along with individual prices for gantries, bridges, and tunnels.

Members of the Google Maps review programme were sent a survey relating to changes to Google Maps, and were able to feedback on which features should be built and how the implementation of the toll cost feature would look.
In some areas around the world, Google Maps currently offers and selection of the quickest route as well as the most environmentally friendly route. Adding a route with the lowest toll costs is going to reflect as the third option.
Waze – a Google subsidiary – has offered this feature since 2019.
