The OnePlus Watch will launch next week alongside the OnePlus 9 series smartphones. However, we have been given an early sneak peek of the company’s first wearable, thanks to Unbox Therapy. The design is relatively standard with two side buttons, very reminiscent of the Galaxy Watch Active. It has a similar face and body with a nearly identical chassis. The circular lines on the interface seems to have taken inspiration from the Apple Watch, as well.

CEO Pete Lau said the OnePlus Watch includes “a premium material never before seen in a smartwatch.” The company is promising “seamless connectivity” between the device and other OnePlus products at “an affordable price point.”

Interestingly, it seems that the Watch won’t run on Wear OS. According to the CEO, the company has decided to go for a “smart wear operating system developed based on RTOS.”
We will get more information on March 23rd when the OnePlus Watch and OnePlus 9 flagship series is launched.
