Lenovo has released some great PC products over the last several years. The company has become a powerful player in the world op laptops, and have decided to push the envelope with their latest technology. The newest Lenovo ThinkPad, called the ThinkPad X1 Fold, is a fully fledged Windows PC that folds like the latest in smartphone technology.

The idea behind the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold is to straddle the line between a hybrid laptop and a foldable. Unlike its smartphone counterparts, you only use it when it is opened – either fully unfolded and using it like a massive tablet or folded in half and using it like a small laptop.

You can prop the Fold up horizontally to use it like a full 13-inch notebook, which you can use with a detachable keyboard. It can be folded up to 90 degrees and will remain rigid, fully usable as a laptop. A touchscreen keyboard will pop up on the bottom half of the machine. When you turn it horizontally it can be used as you would a book (with apps taking advantage of this form factor, like Kindle). Lastly, you fold it up and carry around the smallest 13-inch laptop in the world.

The specs are pretty decent as well. The ThinkPad X1 Fold comes with 11th Gen Intel processors, two USB-C ports and a SIM-card slot, 8GB of RAM, up to 1TB of storage, and a 50Wh battery. It also supports a 5G connection.
The device is enveloped in a non-removable black leather folio, which was originally unveiled at CES 2020. The frame is made from carbon fibre, with a hinge design that is becoming pretty standard in the foldable industry. It has started to sell from $2,499, with some other bundled options available with the various accessories.
