While it isn’t the spectacle we’ve become accustomed to, Gamescom 2020 is doing its best to put on a good online-only show. The first virtual Gamescom kicked off this week and as always, most of the big keynotes and announcements are at the beginning of the show.

Here are some of the biggest trailers and reveals from Gamescom 2020, giving us a glimpse of what we can look forward to in gaming.
Dragon Age
It has been many years since we had the last Dragon Age game, Dragon Age: Inquisition, which was acclaimed widely by fans and critics alike. The new one is one the horizon, and although we don’t have an official title or trailer yet, BioWare has shared a behind-the-scenes video of what they are working on.
Star Wars: Squadrons
One of the most anticipated games of the year, Star Wars: Squadrons promises to deliver fast-paced, tactical dog-fighting in space with X-wings, TIE Fighters and others from the franchise. It is releasing in October, but luckily we get a look at what the single player campaign will look like.
Fall Guys: Season 2
The game has only been out for a matter of weeks but has taken the world by storm, breaking records along the way. The indie developer team have shared some details about Season 2 which isn’t too far away.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
Barely a day after the first trailer dropped of this year’s Call of Duty title, a second trailer has been released at Gamescom 2020. We get a longer look at former US president Ronald Reagan in this one.
The Sims 4 Star Wars
Now, while a Sims expansion or stuff pack never really excites us like a full new game, this one is an exception. In probably the biggest surprise of Gamescom thus far, the new Star Wars expansion looks like it will drastically change the playing experience of The Sims. It is called Journey to Batuu, and is launching on September 8th.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands
The next expansion of the long-lived MMORPG is launching on October 27th, and is expected to bring quite a chunky amount of content to the game.
Twelve Minutes
Another strong entry in the indie genre is Twelve Seconds. It looks unique, driven by narrative and hopes to be a hit interactive thriller game. In the latest trailer it showcases its impressive cast, including Willem Dafoe, Daisy Ridley, and James McAvoy. No release date has been announced as of yet.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
One of the launch titles of the upcoming PlayStation 5 console will be the latest instalment in the Ratchet & Clank series. While the cartoonish art style can’t really capture what the new-gen consoles are capable of, this gameplay demo is enough to wet our appetites.
Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods
That’s right – the fast-paced shooter is getting an expansion. The first part of the expansion will be launched on October 20th, while no final date has been announced for part two.
Medal of Honor VR
We fondly remember the mid 2000’s as a time when Medal of Honor and Call of Duty was fighting it out for FPS supremacy. Unfortunately, Medal of Honor lost out and we haven’t seen a lot of good content since. This VR version of the game will be a VR experience exclusive to the Oculus Rift.
