We’ve seen little indication up until now as to what form the successor to the M8 and M9 will take, but a new promotional video has seen the HTC M10 leaked.
Up until now, we’ve seen no indication as to what HTC will unveil with the follow up to the One M9; but an ill-timed promotional video has seen the HTC M10 leaked ahead of its official reveal.
While the video itself hasn’t been confirmed by HTC to be legitimate, the promotional tease of the One M10 looks to be authentic. In the video, the device is shown from all angles in three different colors – gold, silver and grey. Read: HTC One M10 leaks, shows tweaked design
The device is further depicted having chamfered edges with a USB Type=C port on the bottom panel, accompanied by a protruding camera lens and two visible antenna lines.
While the rear of the device is reminiscent of the One M7, One M8 and One M9, the front panel of the smartphone shows a departure from HTC’s traditional design, moving to exclude dual speaker grills with a new-found physical button on the bottom panel which could serve as a fingerprint scanner.
The HTC One M10 is rumoured to include a Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage; HTC will confirm the M10’s specifications during the device’s official launch which is scheduled to take place tomorrow. Read: HTC announces the One X9
If the video is indeed legitimate, the M10 seems to take design elements of the M series and the A9 into the fold. With the M10’s formal reveal expected to take place tomorrow at 1pm BST tomorrow, it will be interesting to see if the device does indeed follow the same trajectory as depicted here.
