Leak offers first actual look at the Huawei P9

After rumors and design leaks we get a first real glimpse at what the Huawei P9 will look like along with some clarifications on specs.

The Huawei P9 is a long time in the making. We have seen rumors surfacing of the P9 all the way back to last year. We are expecting a pretty awesome device with great hardware specs, including a pair of 12MP cameras that packs some serious imaging power. Two weeks ago we had a leak reporting on some of the P9’s design features. As we wait for word of formal launch plans, we‘ve got one more new leak to check out, with some high-quality pics arriving alongside a new report on hardware specs.
Huawei-P9-2While these pictures may not show off the P9 from all its angles, they are pretty revealing. It shows off the dual rear camera setup, and gives a crystal clear look at the phone‘s bottom edge, confirming reports that the P9 won‘t end up with a pair of speaker grilles down there.
Huawei-P9-1The accompanying report attempts to clear up the difference between the standard P9 and the rumored premium edition of the phone: while the former could be equipped with a HiSilicon Kirin 950 SoC and 3GB of RAM, the latter should end up with a slightly beefier Kirin 955 and 4GB of system memory. Storage will start at 32GB for both models with option to extend up to 128GB. The report suggests a battery of around 3900 mAh and the pics show a visible fingerprint scanner and USB type-C connector.
