After rumors and design leaks we get a first real glimpse at what the Huawei P9 will look like along with some clarifications on specs.
The Huawei P9 is a long time in the making. We have seen rumors surfacing of the P9 all the way back to last year. We are expecting a pretty awesome device with great hardware specs, including a pair of 12MP cameras that packs some serious imaging power. Two weeks ago we had a leak reporting on some of the P9’s design features. As we wait for word of formal launch plans, we‘ve got one more new leak to check out, with some high-quality pics arriving alongside a new report on hardware specs.
While these pictures may not show off the P9 from all its angles, they are pretty revealing. It shows off the dual rear camera setup, and gives a crystal clear look at the phone‘s bottom edge, confirming reports that the P9 won‘t end up with a pair of speaker grilles down there.
The accompanying report attempts to clear up the difference between the standard P9 and the rumored premium edition of the phone: while the former could be equipped with a HiSilicon Kirin 950 SoC and 3GB of RAM, the latter should end up with a slightly beefier Kirin 955 and 4GB of system memory. Storage will start at 32GB for both models with option to extend up to 128GB. The report suggests a battery of around 3900 mAh and the pics show a visible fingerprint scanner and USB type-C connector.

No official news yet from the Chinese company but we expect to see the P9 somewhere around May to June.
