For a company that has become synonymous with premium leather covers and a curved design language, LG has taken the surprising step of introducing an all metal phone: the Zero.
First unveiled to consumers in Taiwan this week, the Zero will soon ship to Asia, Europe and Latin America as either the LG Zero or LG Class.
Beyond an all-metal body, the device brings with it a 5-inch 1,280 x 720 display that is supported by a 1.2Ghz quad-core chip, and sports 1.5GB of RAM. Users can expect 16 GBs of expandable storage alongside a 2,050mAh battery.
LG has equipped with the handset with, on paper, a great set of cameras at its price point – the device carries a 13 megapixel primary camera, alongside an 8 megapixel selfie shooter.
Available in both silver and gold and similarily shaped to the Samsung Galaxy A5, the device will be released early next year. We’ll be sure to provide pricing and availability news closer to launch.
