Google software engineer teases a revamped Play Store

Google has an overhauled interface for the Play Store in the works, and thanks to one departing software engineer, we now have our first indication of what the store will shortly look like on Android devices.
Kirill Grouchnikov, a Google employee who has been developing the Play Store for the past few years – and is soon to depart to another company – released brief screenshots on his Google + account teasing the upcoming revamp.

The new Play Store is divided between Apps & Games and Entertainment

The new visual direction of the Play Store isn’t a dramatic one, but brings a fresh, far more material design perspective to the app, and is accompanied by a new layout and smoother animations.
Rather than being divided between six categories (Apps, Games, Movies & TV, Music, Books, and Newsstand, or simply Apps, Games and Books if you’re using the Play Store in South Africa) the Play Store will now be divided between Apps & Games and Entertainment.
Additionally, it seems that the Play Store will soon support languages that read from right-to-left, as Grouchnikov uploaded images that depicted the Play Store in Hebrew.
There is presently no indication of when Android users will be receive the overhauled Play Store, though Grouchnikov’s use of the #soon hashtag provides a general indication.
