As we get closer to the December release of Episode VII everyone wants to get their hands on anything Star Wars. Well, EA has announced the Star Wars Battlefront beta is set to begin October 8. Make sure you get on that train quickly as the beta will only e available until October 12th. The beta, which is more of a technical test for game-maker DICE, will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will be open to everyone.
The EA announcement provides us with some insight as to what to expect from the highly anticipated games before its actual release on the 17th of November. The beta focuses on three modes on three different planets. Among these you will be able to play the 40-player battles of the Walker Assault on Hoth as well as the Drop Zone Sullust which features 8 vs. 8 matches. The final beta mode will be an online and offline split-screen co-op Survival Mission on Tatooine, which will have you facing hordes of Imperial forces.
Alongside the beta, gamers will also be able to try out the Star Wars Battlefront Companion app. The application includes the Star Card perk, but for the beta you will only be able to access it via the internet. Come October 8th and we will see just what the new-gen consoles have in store for us.
