Watch: GoPro footage, from space!

In 2013, student Bryan Chan and a group of friends sent a GoPro, quite literally, to the great beyond; attached to a weather balloon, the camera was lifted into the stratosphere from a location near the Grand Canyon.
Unfortunately for the group, contact with the camera was lost as it re-entered the stratosphere. Now, thanks to a passing hiker, the footage has been recovered and offers a beautiful glimpse of Earth from far above.
According to Chan and company, the device achieved a maximum altitude of 98,664 feet and flew for a total of 98 minutes, before returning to Earth nearly 50 miles away from its launch site.
