Samsung S6 and LG G4 sales fall short of expectation

Samsung and LG have had their work cut out for them trying to match the successful launch of the iPhone 6 last year. We‘ve heard a lot about Samsung Galaxy S6 sales with some reports claiming that things are looking good whilst others insinuated that the situation could be better. It is a bit difficult to judge the truth in all of the reports doing the rounds.
The latest news does also leave some room for speculation but is backed by industry watchers’ findings and insights. These sources claim that Samsung Galaxy S6 sales are falling short of expectations for Q2 of the year; the situation is reportedly not brighter when it comes to Samsung‘s domestic competitor, LG, and its 2015 flagship, the G4 (“œsales of its strategic smartphone model G4 also fell short of earlier expectations“œ).
LG’s flagship, the G4, is also reportedly doing worse than expected. Analysts are blaming the poor performance on the anticipation and buzz around Apple‘s upcoming smartphone(s), the 2015 refresh for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus (which sounds a bit lame).  Alongside the upcoming Apple phones the market also has their eyes on the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 (possible the S6 Edge Pro) as well as the new LG G-series flagship.
