2K Display upgrades rumoured for iPhone 6S

As the tech world is currently engaged in Google’s I/O conference and preparing for Apple’s worldwide developers conference you would think that their focus would be residing there. But as we know a good rumor is always better than the facts. The latest one doing the rounds is around the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
With September drawing ever nearer, rumors are starting to materialize that revolve around what hardware will make the cut when Apple announces its new iPhones. Reports suggest that Apple might be focusing on the iPhone’s display as well…
Chinese blog Feng has reported that Apple is about to go toe-to-toe with its competition in the specifications war which is something the company historically hasn‘t done before. In years gone by the much praised “Retina Display” technology has been Apple’s go-to feature instead of focusing purely on hardware specs.
Now though, according to Feng, Apple will enter the display wars, with the new iPhones likely to both pack higher resolution screens than anything Apple has managed to date. Apparently the iPhone 6s will come with the same 4.7-inch display as its older brother (iPhone 6) but with a full HD 1080p panel and the iPhone 6s Plus will get a 5.5-inch, 2K display.
The current models ship with 1334 x 750 and 1920 x 1080 resolutions respectively, which means the new handsets would have quite the pixel advantage should this new report prove accurate. Combine that with the impressive Retina Display tech and you are looking at a pretty serious setup.
Other rumours from the site includes the iPhone 6s featuring Force Touch and 32GB being the smallest capacity available to buy. That could mean cutting out some of the lower end spenders should Apple stick with their current price ranges.
Stay tuned for more iPhone 6S updates.
