Starting with Glu’s Terminator Genisys: Revolution mobile game, you can now pre-register for apps from the Play store through Play pre-registration. Now developers can create some buzz before releasing an app by creating a placeholder page in the store where users can sign up and receive an alert on their phone when the app is actually released.
It allows developers to see initial reactions and interest in their app, and get some tips from users in terms of aesthetics, and look and feel from published screenshots, previews, etc. in the Play Store.
Here‘s to hoping Google will add a wishlist feature to the Play Store as well, which will notify you when a specific app is on sale.
