We know that drones are slowly but surely taking over the world, and now new rumours have indicated the possible development of an Apple drone.
We know that drones are slowly but surely taking over the world. The influx of drone use over the past year and a half has been nothing short of a phenomenon and almost everywhere you look, a drone is sure to hover.
Many tech giants have also started dipping their toes in the drone pool. Amazon wants to deliver your packages via their Prime Air delivery drones, and Facebook and Google want to connect more people to the internet by using drones.
One tech company that has been keeping mum on drones, however, is the almighty Apple.
Until now, that is.
Alright, so it‘s not an official new Apple product, but this Apple drone concept has definitely caught our attention. This concept is the vision of one German designer that has (beautifully) showed us what an Apple drone would look like – and we have to say, it‘s one seriously cool concept.
Eric Huisman designed the Apple drone concept and called it the “˜Apple Quadcopter.‘
From the first look, the Apple Quadcopter is very, very sleek in it‘s design. Its minimalistic tone and black and white colour scheme screams Apple and in all, purely judged by face value, the Apple Quadcopter sure looks like a high-end drone – exactly what you would expect from Apple.
The body of the drone is curved ever so slightly and on the body, slap-bang in the middle, is the Apple logo, of course.
The drone features four rotational propellers on the corners of its body. Along with the 4 propellers, the Apple Quadcopter features four, built-in cameras.
According to Huisman‘s website – where he posted the pictures of his concept – the Apple drone will be able to take both panoramic and still photos of up to 100 mega-pixels, as well as 4K video recording. which also includes image stabilization, built in to the drone. Fancy!
Furthermore, with the (not-yet-real) Apple Quadcopter, you will be able to stream the video that you have just recorded, in real-time, to YouTube.
This is by no means the first time that someone has come up with an Apple product concept. We have seen some very impressive concepts for future Apple products over the years. However, this is the first time we‘ve seen an Apple drone, which is just a further testament to drones‘ rise in the tech world.
Sure, it‘s not real – but what if it was?
