With their newest flagship – the One M9 – set to release less than a week from today – HTC has geared up an entirely new ad campaign to market the forthcoming phone’s new BoomSound speakers.
Competing for attention with Samsung’s incoming Galaxy S6 – as both handsets will be officially unveiled a few hours apart at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain – HTC is content to tease prospective purchasers with brand new version of its popular BoomSound speaker technology over Twitter.
HTC Ireland released the video via it’s Twitter account just yesterday, enticing consumers to “get their hands on bigger boom“.
Current rumours pinpoint that the forthcoming flagship’s speaker grill will be combined in some measure with the protective glass over the screen. On previous models, the speaker grill was fitted into a rectangular bar which greatly increased the height of the device in comparison to models with a similar form factor.
Numerous leaks have revealed that the One (M9) will apparently come armed with a Snapdragon 810 processor, 32GBs of expandable storage, and 3GB of RAM. The new flagship will feature a front facing UltraPixel camera and a 20mp rear snapper, and will arrive sporting Android 5.0 Lollipop over the current version, 5.1. All indications point to the fact that the One (M9) will bear a newly updated Sense software skin.
The BoomSound speaker technology, developed for the One series, was a bestselling feature of the prior flagship. Praised for their crisp playback and ability to play at loud volumes, the One (M8)’s BoomSound speakers can emit sounds up to an impressive 95 dB.
The HTC One (M9) is expected to be unveiled on March 1st during the Mobile World Congress.
