iOS 9 to be more focused on faster performance

It seems as though iOS 8 was just released the other day, but already we are seeing reports of what we can expect from Apple‘s next update, iOS 9.
While iOS 8 was all about cool, integrated new features like Healthkit, Apple Pay and the Touch-ID finger scanner, early reports are suggesting that iOS 9 will focus on performance rather than features and fancy new apps.
According to an initial report by 9to5Mac, Apple is said to have a more “œdirected focus“ on optimization and stabilization of the current iOS.
iOS 9 – which is reportedly codenamed “˜Stowe‘ for now – can almost be seen as a faster, better version of iOS 8. That being said, this doesn‘t mean that iOS 9 won‘t have its own new features, so Apple fans can breathe a sigh of relief…
While there has been no report on exactly what new features we can expect from iOS 9 (it is still early days), one thing Apple users will be happy about is the fact that the company is said to be working on drastically reducing the size of the new update.
As you may very well know, this was one of the biggest issues users complained about with the iOS 8 update as the download size was so big – 5GB to be precise.
Naturally, not many users had enough space on their devices to cater for the update and had to free up a helluva lot of space to accommodate for the update.
Another issue with iOS 8 was the reported poor battery life, so we‘re assuming that this another issue that Apple will (hopefully) optimize with iOS 9.
There has been no official release date set for iOS 9, but judging by past releases, we can expect an announcement around June and then a roll-out in September/October.
There has also been no word on whether or not we will be getting another U2 album with the update, but here‘s hoping not.
