Microsoft has definitely made their intentions clear with their “œmobile first, cloud first“ strategy. According to reports, we can expect interesting news before their annual Build conference in April. Sources have told The Verge that one of the focal points of a an announcements before the conference will be the release of Microsoft Office for iPad, on March 27th.
Office of the iPhone has been available for some time now, but the software was begging for a larger canvas to increase productivity. It is not clear whether there will be any new functionality, but in all likelihood it will be very much the same as the iPhone version. Document creation and editing is fully supported for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint apps and will require an Office 365 subscription to be used fully.
