Samsung is known to make basically everything you can think of in and around the home, and their mobile market has never been more important than it is to the company right now. They have also expanded into wearables, and are tipped to move into the VR glasses game as well.
A new report cites unnamed Samsung officials who claim the company is presently developing a competitor to Google’s Glass “” tentatively named Galaxy Glass “” which could make its debut at the IFA trade show in Berlin this September.
The tone of this disclosure is very similar to what Samsung had to say before the unveiling of its Galaxy Gear smartwatch, which was the company’s big novelty at last year’s IFA. Whether Samsung can make massive headway into this space is unknown. If we just look at how long Google have been working on Google Glass, it seems unrealistic to think Samsung could have popped out a viable product in such a short space of time. But hey, you never know. It‘s going to be a damn exciting year in tech, that is for sure.
