Internet service provider, Web Africa, has just announced huge price reductions to their uncapped internet access packages for January.
Starting today, Web Africa will reduce their uncapped ADSL prices for both residential as well as business customers by between 12 – 62 percent. That is some serious savings.
Residential Web Africa customers can expect to see price cuts of their monthly subscriptions of up to 62%.
Business customers will also have reduced prices, but will continue to pay a premium for any additional services and privileges that they would require. This includes prioritized bandwidth.
Tim Wyatt-Gunning, CEO of Web Africa, believes that with Web Africa‘s reduced prices, they will be able to cater to a wider audience:
“œWeb Africa caters to everyone‘s needs; from serious data-junkies with 20 Mbps VDSL for R999 per month, whilst keeping basic home use at R179 per month,“
He also noted that these price reductions, Web Africa allows their customers to save up to R1000 a month – which would obviously be a welcome bit of extra cash for anybody.
“œThis change in pricing gives our 20Mbps customers a monthly savings of R1,000 which goes a long way these days…[sic] With these kinds of rates, we are positioning ADSL once again becomes the best option for households and small businesses currently relying on expensive and increasingly slow 3G connections for their internet connectivity“ Wyatt-Gunning concluded.
As far as pricing is concerned, Uncapped Business ADSL prices start at R299 for a 1 Mbps connection. At the top-end, 40Mbps VDSL customers will pay only R2799 a month, saving them a substantial amount of R2000.
Web Africa customers will still need a Telkom DSL line in order to connect. The good news, however, is that Web Africa can manage the line for you. This eliminates the relentless hassle of having to deal with Telkom – one thing I‘m sure most South Africans dread.
In addition to dealing with Telkom on your behalf, having Web AFrica manage your line will save you nearly R600 a year. Once again, more cash in your pocket.
All Web Africa packages come with no contractual commitments. This means that you are free to cancel within a month‘s notice at any time. Assistance with your DSL line setup and additional support comes standard with Web Africa.
