Dial Direct launches Designated Driver campaign along with Buzzfeed-inspired website

Silly season is in full swing and insurance company Dial Direct has just launched a campaign alongside RetroViral Digital Communications and Joe Public to help people get home safe after  festive night out.
We all know that drinking and driving is bad and how many accidents happen over the festive season. The aim of the Designated Driver Assist product from Dial Direct is to remind us how dangerous our drunk selves can be.
But of course, a sense of humor goes along way and that is what this campaign is all about. To coincide with the driver assist product, they have created a “˜Buzzedfeed‘ website (and yes, that pun is intended).
Modeled after the popular viral-content posting website, Buzzfeed, “˜Buzzedfeed‘ features on-point radio ads by Joe Public and some (very) regrettable drunk text messages.
With the campaign, Dial Direct will offer new and existing clients two cab rides per month for only R20 per month.
All jokes aside, the campaign is great idea to encourage a more responsible outlook for motorists during the frivolous festive season.
