Instagram Ads: This is what they'll look like

Instagram ads are finally here, but surprisingly they‘re not all that bad.
The popular photo sharing app announced at the start of the month that they would start rolling out ads – much like other social networks.
Instagram, which was acquired by social media giant Facebook in April of 2012, said that their integration of ads will help the company become  more of a “œsustainable business“.
Today, Instagram released a “˜sample ad‘ which shows us what we can expect design-wise from the ever impending Instagram ads.
The ad actually resembles a typical Instagram post. It is different and more aesthetically pleasing than a typical ad you would expect on a social media platform.
The only difference between the Instagram ads and normal Instagram osts, is that the ads will feature a “œsponsored“ label in the top right corner.
The ads will also offer users the option of hiding them from their stream. So if you don‘t want to see the ad, you don‘t have to.
Instagram said that they want their ads to be different and more creative:
“We want ads to be creative and engaging, so we‘re starting with just a handful of brands that are already great members of the Instagram community,” the company wrote. “If you see an ad that doesn‘t interest you, you can tap the ‘“¦’ below it to hide it and provide feedback about what you didn‘t like. This will help us show you more interesting ads in the future.”
The crux of the matter is that Instagram has gone about creating ads that won‘t disrupt your feed and fits in with the whole feel of Instagram. This is more than can be said for other social platforms.
Good on you, Instagram!
