After a scary hacker attack on their developer site, Apple has finally restored it‘s main developer website.
The attack, which prompted Apple to upgrade their system in order to prevent future breaches, didn’t seem to have done too much damage.
The developer site is used by Apple to communicate with it‘s nearly 6 million software developers world wide. The site was mostly back to it‘s original state, although the forums and member center was still offline.
Although the company seems to be out of the deep end for now, it could still not confirm what data (and if any at all) was comprised during the attack.
Apple did however let it‘s developers know about the attack. It is speculated, yet not officially confirmed, that some of the developers’ personal email addresses and names might have been exposed during the hacking.
Not all of the services were online when the main site came back up again. Seven of the 15 services on the website, including the iOS, Mac and Safari developer centers, were online at 8:15 p.m. ET on Friday.
As we‘ve mentioned before, the attack came at a crucial time for Apple, as they are in the final stages of testing and developing the long awaited operating system, iOS7.
Hopefully the company has gotten to the bottom of things and working at Apple Inc. can continue business as usual so the world can get its Apple fix.
