As we all know Jelly Bean is starting to roll out on most new devices, but questions were still left unanswered about when some of the more popular phones that didn‘t come from 2012 would be receiving the newest iteration of the Google operating system. Among those, are the very popular Samsung Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note, and owners of these devices weren‘t even sure if they would be receiving the update at all.
We are happy to report that Samsung have finally made their position clear and it‘s good news: The Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note 10.1 will all receive Android Jelly Bean before the end of the year.
The updates will come via OTA (over-the-air) or Samsung Kies. Of course, it still depends on your carrier; therefore we receive the vague “˜Q4‘ time frame, even though we are already in the last quarter of the year. The news came from Samsung Sweden, saying their updates will begin in early November.
There are a lot of Galaxy S2 owners in SA and you must be very anxious for the update. Have you been waiting patiently for the update, or did you decide to root your device?
