Amazon MGM has officially released the final trailer for Project Hail Mary, giving fans their first detailed look at Rocky, the highly anticipated five-legged alien co-star. Based on the 2021 bestseller by Andy Weir (The Martian), the film stars Ryan Gosling as Dr. Ryland Grace, a scientist who awakens aboard a spacecraft with total amnesia. He soon realizes he is humanity’s last hope, tasked with a desperate mission to prevent a global extinction event.

The new footage highlights the core of the story: the profound, unlikely bond between Grace and the alien engineer he encounters in the depths of space. While the stakes are intergalactic, the trailer leans into the emotional heart of the novel, teasing the communication and camaraderie that develop as the two lone survivors work together to save their respective worlds.
While the film’s nationwide release is set for March 20, Amazon is rewarding Prime members with a head start. Exclusive early screenings will begin on March 16 across several premium formats:
