Vodacom has revealed its plans for Black Friday 2025, promising South African customers massive discounts of up to 70% on a range of products and services. The network operator is adopting a staggered approach, with weekly deals kicking off on Friday, 7 November 2025, and running throughout the month.

The company stated that the aggressive discounts are designed to help households stay connected and entertained, especially amidst the rising cost of living in South Africa. The deals will be accessible both online via the Vodacom website and in physical stores. This strategy mirrors the operator’s successful 2024 approach, which also began on November 7.
While specific product pricing for the 2025 Black Friday campaign will only be unveiled weekly, a look back at last year’s notable promotions and the company’s recent summer deals provides a strong indication of what customers can anticipate.
Last year’s promotion featured a strong focus on large-data connectivity and value-added bundles:
- Home Connectivity Bundles: A key offering included bundling a large Samsung TV (65- or 75-inch) with qualifying home internet products, such as the 2TB Home Internet package (offering speeds up to 100Mbps for R479 per month over 36 months).
- SIM-Only Value: The operator offered substantial savings on SIM-only contracts, including a 400GB plan (200GB Anytime, 200GB Night-Owl) for R349 x 24.
- Fibre and Youth Deals: Fibre deals started as low as R99 per month for the first six months, while the prepaid NXT LVL plan (for under-25s) featured promotions like 60 on-network minutes and 1GB of TikTok data for R11.
Vodacom’s commitment to value is also evident in its current summer promotions, which are integrated across its contract and prepaid options:
Premium Streaming Access: Prepaid customers who recharge and interact on the platforms receive 12 months of free Amazon Prime Video mobile edition. Additionally, customers who purchase a promotional bundle are often eligible for two months of YouTube Premium access.
- Headline Bundles: A significant ongoing deal is the R99 bundle offering a total of 20GB of data (7.5GB Anytime, 7.5GB Night Owl, and 5GB YouTube data).
- V-Up Rewards: The popular V-Up program, which allows customers to open daily “loot boxes” containing various rewards, remains a core part of the operator’s loyalty strategy.
- Vodacom is clearly aiming to position itself as the go-to provider for comprehensive data and entertainment value this holiday season. Customers are encouraged to track the official Vodacom channels for the first drop of deals on November 7.
