The update introduces 30 new wallpapers, many of which are integrated into preset themes that automatically select matching bubble and text colours. This feature not only enhances visual appeal but also helps users visually differentiate between different conversations.
Users can now apply themes to individual chats or channels, or set a default theme for all their conversations. For more granular control, users can manually customize chat bubble colours, text colours, and even set any image as their wallpaper.
These new customization features are rolling out globally in the coming weeks. To access these options, users can navigate to Settings > Chats > Default chat theme to apply a theme to all their chats. Alternatively, they can customize individual chats or channels by accessing the chat name or using the triple dot menu and selecting “Chat theme.”
These enhancements demonstrate WhatsApp’s commitment to providing users with greater control over their messaging experience and fostering a more personalized and enjoyable communication environment.
