Opera Air is a browser for the mindful web surfer

Opera introduced Opera Air, a novel web browser prioritizing mindfulness. Designed with a minimalist Scandinavian aesthetic and frosted glass accents, Opera Air seamlessly integrates relaxation features typically found in dedicated meditation apps.

Opera Air offers four distinct break modes: breathing exercises, neck exercises, meditation, and a full-body scan. These short breaks, ranging from three to 15 minutes, aim to reduce stress, alleviate neck tension, and promote overall well-being. Additionally, the browser incorporates binaural beats, audio illusions that can enhance creativity, improve focus, and even aid in dream recall.

Recognizing the often chaotic and overwhelming nature of the internet, Opera Air seeks to provide users with a more mindful browsing experience. As Senior Director of Product Mohamed Salah explains, “The web is beautiful, but we want to look at science-based ways to help users navigate it.” By integrating mindfulness features directly into the browser, Opera Air aims to enhance user well-being and create a more positive browsing experience.
