The developers have been sharing updates on the game’s progress, including details on the revamped “Flick-It” trick control system, expanded character customization options, and ongoing playtests with fan feedback.
The new Skate game takes place in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, which has been taken over by a corporate overlord named M-Corp. As M-Corp’s grip on the city weakens, skaters are given the opportunity to reclaim the streets. A teaser video featuring comedian Tim Robinson as the corporate lackey Richard “Richie” Dandle offers a glimpse into the game’s narrative.
With its early access release on the horizon, Skate fans can look forward to once again shredding their way through the streets of San Vansterdam.
