Sony has announced the latest additions to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue for Extra and Premium subscribers, and this month’s lineup is headlined by The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. CD Projekt Red’s critically acclaimed action RPG, which is frequently on sale for just a few dollars, will now be available at no extra cost for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers. Both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game will be included.

Joining The Witcher 3 in the Game Catalogue is Cult of the Lamb, one of the most celebrated indie games in recent years. This title, known for its blend of charming visuals and brutal gameplay, now features a local co-op mode, allowing you to play with a friend. Other titles being added for Extra and Premium subscribers this August include Wild Hearts (EA’s take on the Monster Hunter genre), Watch Dogs 2, Ride 5, Sword Art Online: Last Recollection, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, and Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization.
For Premium members, Sony is also adding some classic games to the mix, including the TimeSplitters series from the PS2 era. TimeSplitters, TimeSplitters 2, and TimeSplitters: Future Perfect will all be available, offering a nostalgic trip back to one of the most beloved first-person shooter franchises. Although Free Radical Design, the studio that was working on a reboot of the series, has been shut down, it’s a relief to see the original trilogy preserved and accessible.
Additionally, the PS3 title Sword Art Online: Lost Song will be available through the Game Catalogue, though it will only be accessible via cloud streaming. Premium members will also have access to a VR game, Vacation Simulator, available for both PS VR and PS VR2.
It’s important to note that the availability of these titles may vary depending on your region. Sony will officially introduce the new additions to the Game Catalogue on August 20, so it’s a good idea to check the lineup in your area to see if there are any unexpected changes or surprises.
