The partnership aims to bridge the technology and accessibility gap in the market, offering a range of affordably priced streaming devices. The devices will come preloaded with the Showmax app and a free two-month subscription, providing easy access to a vast library of movies, TV shows, documentaries, and more.

Showmax clarified that these devices will not support screen casting of its mobile plans. The QVWi Leap TV S2 streaming stick will be priced at R999, while the Leap S3 streaming box will start at R1,199. Additionally, a range of smart UHD TVs under the QVWi brand will also be available, offering a cost-effective solution for upgrading non-smart TVs.

The streaming devices are designed to deliver a premium HD viewing experience and are compatible with a wide range of TVs and home entertainment systems. They feature fast processors, dual-band Wi-Fi, and support Ethernet connectivity up to 100Mbps. With built-in Chromecast technology, users can easily cast content from smartphones, tablets, or laptops to their TVs.
