Have you seen the first Captain America: Brave New World movie trailer yet?

Like most people we were beginning to suffer from ‘comic book movie fatigue’, that was the case until Marvel finally released the Captain America: Brave New World trailer. Revealed yesterday, and in addition to other intriguing sequences, the trailer also teased the introduction of Red Hulk into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) which presents another different dimension altogether.

Featuring Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Captain America, the trailer also showcases Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres / Falcon, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns / Leader, and Harrison Ford as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross.

It’s clear to see why there’s so much hype as well as why this trailer has been very well received by many. Not saying that’s the case but we reckon Marvel has taken into account what many have mentioned about comic book based movies lately which, if we’re being honest, were starting to be ‘more of the same’ and nothing to get too excited about. This trailer has breathed new life and gone a long way towards altering those opinions.

One of the biggest reasons for the excitement more than anything else is the glimpse of Red Hulk at the end of the trailer that, as mentioned up top, signals an exciting dimension for the overall MCU going forward.

It doesn’t end there as the trailer also gives us a glimpse of Breaking Bad actor Giancarlo Esposito who in May had indicated that he might be featuring in Captain America: Brave New World. Subsequent various reshoots also took place in order to help introduce Esposito’s new character, reportedly a villain, into the fold. Why is this interesting to mention? Well, Esposito had expressed interest in playing X-Men leader Professor Xavier in the past… clearly Marvel had different plans for him.

Set to be in cinemas next year on Valentines Day, Captain America: Brave New World will finally see Sam Wilson suit up as ‘Cap’ and fulfil something that was revealed towards the end of the Avengers Endgame movie. We for ones are very excited by that prospect.
