MSI’s gaming notebook lineup is spearheaded by the Titan series, specifically the Titan 18 HX. Notably, MSI is simplifying its naming scheme by omitting the two-letter tag from the system’s names, such as GT or GE, across all its laptops.
The Titan 18 HX features a redesigned magnesium alloy chassis and houses powerful components, including up to a 14th-gen Intel Core i9-14900HX chip, RTX 4090 GPU, 128GB of RAM, three SSD slots, and Wi-Fi 7. It boasts a TDP of 270 watts and stable clock speeds of up to 5.2GHz across the CPU’s eight performance cores. The display is highlighted by an 18-inch 4K Mini LED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification. Additionally, it includes a haptic touchpad with RGB backlighting. However, with a starting price of $5,000, it targets consumers with substantial financial resources.
For those seeking a large gaming machine at a slightly more affordable price point, there’s the Raider 18 HX, starting at around $3,500 to $4,000. It shares a similar design with the Titan but features a prominent lightbar in front for RGB enthusiasts. Equipped with an i9-14900HX CPU and RTX 4090 GPU, it has a 250-watt TDP. Unfortunately, the functionality of the model showcased was not demonstrated.
The Stealth 18 AI Studio marks the debut of MSI’s thin-and-light line in this size category. Weighing 6.3 pounds, it supports up to an RTX 4090 with a 185-watt TDP. Powered by a 14th-gen Meteor Lake chip, it includes a dedicated NPU for AI tasks.
The Cyborg 14 offers a unique take on budget chassis design with smoky gray accents and solid specs starting at around $1,000. It features a 16:10 144Hz display, support for up to an RTX 4060, and 13th-gen Core i7 chip.
These four laptops represent a fraction of MSI’s new lineup at CES, which also includes updates for existing systems like the Stealth 14/16 and significant overhauls for others like the Vector line.
Pricing and availability details for the Titan 18 HX, Raider 18 HX, Stealth 18 AI Studio, and Cyborg 14 are yet to be announced by MSI.
