Rockstar Games surprised fans by releasing the trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI a day earlier than anticipated. This unveiling comes after a decade since the launch of Grand Theft Auto V, and the anticipation for a new single-player experience has been building. While Grand Theft Auto V has kept fans engaged through GTA Online and re-releases, the thirst for fresh single-player content has remained unquenched until now.

The trailer provides an official glimpse into the highly awaited game, revealing that GTA VI is set in Leonida, Rockstar’s rendition of Florida, with a significant focus on Vice City, the in-game representation of Miami. Unlike Grand Theft Auto: Vice City from 2002, which was set in the ’80s, GTA VI appears to be a contemporary game, evident from the abundance of Instagram-style live streaming featured in the trailer.
For the first time in the modern era of the franchise, GTA VI introduces a playable female character, aligning with prior rumours. The trailer showcases various highlights, including the swampy Everglades National Park in Florida, an airboat, wildlife, and the iconic presence of a strip club.
A notable leak last year exposed 90 videos from a GTA VI test build, hinting at a return to Vice City and the inclusion of two playable characters. With its release scheduled for 2025, GTA VI arrives 12 years after its predecessor, Grand Theft Auto V, which stands as the second-best selling video game of all time, trailing only Microsoft’s Minecraft.
