You can now renew your vehicle licence for only R99 thanks to FNB

Yes you read that correctly, FNB has today confirmed a vehicle licence disc renewal revolution by significantly reducing the price to just R99! This move makes it quite convenient, seamless, and affordable to renew your license disc using the FNB App. The R99 service fee is inclusive of delivery except for when renewing multiple vehicle license discs which will require customers paying an extra R49 service fee for each additional vehicle being renewed in the same basket. As always with FNB, customers can now also pay for the entire thing using eBucks.

This service is offered in collaboration with the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) and Road Protect, and there is no paperwork. To renew a vehicle licence disc through the FNB App, simply use your smart device to scan your vehicle license disc and complete the renewal process with secure in-app payment.

Jolandé Duvenage, nav» Chief Imagineer at FNB, says, “We are excited to make it even more convenient and affordable to maintain a vehicle through a collaborative innovation that is designed to take the hassle out of maintaining a vehicle. We help customers easily renew a license disc, track progress on renewal, have the disc delivered straight to your door, and receive free reminders for the next renewal. The service continues to grow in popularity, with over 942 000 vehicles uploaded to the platform and 260 000 vehicle license renewals completed since 2017.”

The vehicle licence renewal service is part of a comprehensive range of solutions that are available for FNB customers as part of its broader nav» Car offering. This includes helping customers get free vehicle value estimates, pay traffic fines, protect, or insure their vehicles against theft, scratches, or dents, and take up an extended warranty to minimize the cost of mechanical repairs.

In addition, customers who want to place their vehicle on the market or those who are in search of their perfect ride can use the car marketplace that connects buyers with vetted sellers, and finance is arranged through WesBank. They can also access education with car coach, with access to podcasts, tips, and quizzes, to help them on their buying, selling, and maintenance journey. Recently, FNB revealed that there are 6 000 active vehicles from WesBank-approved dealers and private sellers listed on the nav» Marketplace with over 1 million searches to date.

“Our commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction continues to drive the types of solutions we introduce to our customers. Whether it is making it easy for people to renew a vehicle license ahead of the upcoming road trip season, helping them get their hands on a vehicle for the new year, or protecting their existing vehicle, we want to make it as convenient and safe as possible. Our aim is to provide customers with the tools they need to navigate life,” Duvenage concludes.

FNB recently received a global award for Outstanding Customer Service Innovation at the Global Retail Banking Innovation Awards 2023 for nav» Car. The nav» Car solution has demonstrably driven value and convenience for a customer’s successful car ownership journey. Commendably, it has reduced license renewal time to 10 minutes saving a collective around 24 million hours across 240 000 license renewals done via the app.
