Disney+ and Hisense South Africa have recently announced the availability of the Disney+ streaming service in South Africa on selected Hisense VIDAA-powered Smart televisions.
On new models produced at the Hisense SA Industrial Park in South Africa, the Disney+ app will be pre-installed for seem-less streaming on Hisense TV. On the current ‘internet connected’ Hisense Smart TV’s in consumers home there will be an update and the Disney+ app will automatically appear. The model list of these supported Hisense Smart TV’s can be found here.

Customers will have access to upcoming and newly released films and series, including Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated “Loki” Season 2, Disney and Pixar’s Elemental (the most watched movie premiere of the year on Disney+), Disney’s live-action reimagining of the studio’s Oscar®-winning animated musical classic “The Little Mermaid, as well as the hit original comedy series “Only Murders in the Building”, with “The Kardashians”, “The Simpsons” and back seasons of “Grey’s Anatomy”, “9-1-1” and “Black-ish”.
