Musk vs. Zuckerberg cage match is still on, to be livestreamed

Musk’s announcement on Twitter caught the attention of X / Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino, who expressed her interest in the event by clearing her calendar. However, Zuckerberg has yet to confirm his availability for the fight scheduled later this month. He previously mentioned that he was ready to fight immediately, but the date is yet to be finalized.

The cage match proposal originated in June when the two billionaires agreed to the challenge through a series of social media posts on their respective platforms. The topic has garnered substantial attention, but discussions quieted down toward the end of June. In July, Zuckerberg expressed uncertainty about the match coming to fruition.

Since the initial proposal, Musk has been actively preparing for the fight. He has been training with Lex Fridman, an expert in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and UFC champion George St-Pierre. UFC president Dana White has been mediating between Musk and Zuckerberg to ensure everything runs smoothly.

The fight’s anticipation comes amidst Zuckerberg’s efforts to improve his public image and gain support from Musk’s fans. His new social network, Threads, aims to challenge X / Twitter’s dominance in the short-form posting sphere.

As of now, the possibility of the cage match remains uncertain, primarily due to Zuckerberg’s recent comment expressing doubt about its occurrence. However, if the fight does happen, Zuckerberg, who has been actively training and winning MMA fights, is considered the favourite by sports betting predictions.
